Celebration and relaxation convene at Ranson Terrace on the southern bank of Fox Pond. Cobblestone pavers line the ground where students gather under shade trees to relax or study in harmony with the hourly chiming of Wireman Chapel.

Sigma and West Lodge residence halls both feature hotel-style living spaces with privately shared bathrooms in each room. The complexes have a laundry facility with complimentary washers and dryers, as well as easy access to parking lots, a fire pit, a recreation room and the CEC Cafeteria.

Triton's Pub looks out onto the Hough Center, the heart of campus. Informally called Hough Quad, this part of campus is composed of Brown, Cobb, Edmundson, Fox and Lindsey Halls.

Café Bon Appétit
Café Bon Appétit purchases seasonal ingredients from our own on-campus community farm as well as small, owner-operated farms and ranches within a 150-mile radius of campus, and avoids meat and dairy from animals raised with artificial hormones or routine antibiotics. This is part of Eckerd’s commitment to sustainability.

Eckerd College Search and Rescue Team Headquarters
EC-SAR, the only collegiate volunteer maritime search and rescue organization in the U.S., offers assistance to boaters in Tampa Bay and surrounding waters. Responsibilities of the student-volunteers, who are on call 24/7, include towing, firefighting, searching for missing people or overdue vessels, pulling vessels from aground, dewatering sinking vessels and performing medical rescues.

Wireman Chapel
Inspired by the 20th-century architect Eero Saarinen, our chapel's key design features are its octagonal shape and in-the-round seating, the oculus at the center of the roof that directs sunlight to the center of the sanctuary, the lower glass panels that reflect light from the water outside to the interior, and the girders that recall the flying buttresses of a medieval cathedral, instilling a sense of timelessness in a contemporary structure.

McArthur Physical Ed. Center
Renovated in 2021, the McArthur Physical Education Center is home to our men's and women's basketball teams and our women's indoor volleyball team. Combined, the three teams have appeared on the National Stage 28 times and have won 10 conference championships. The Center includes a lounge, five varsity locker rooms, and athletic training room.

The Tim Scovanner ’11 Pavilion is a 2,160-square-foot, concrete, open-air shade structure with 115 photovoltaic solar panels. It's the perfect place for gathering and sharing—and enjoying the sea breeze and water views.

South Field, also known as Kappa Field, is a popular spot to lounge in the Florida sun with friends and pets, throw a frisbee or play some spikeball. Our men's and women's rugby club teams use this beautiful field for practices and games.

Baker Beach Volleyball Complex
Home to the Eckerd College NCAA beach volleyball team, the Jon Baker ’91 Beach Volleyball Complex includes four NCAA-varsity beach courts with live-streaming capabilities, shower stations and berm seating. The courts are used by student-athletes and volleyball club members as well as for intramurals and general recreation. Eckerd was the first Division II school in the country to create a beach volleyball program.

Wallace Boathouse
The Waterfront Program offers students sailboats, paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, fishing gear, camping gear and more. Wakeboarding trips leave daily. Professors also take students onto Boca Ciega Bay by boat or kayak for class. Just bring your student ID and a towel!

Doyle Sailing Center
The Doyle Sailing Center is home to the College's coed and women's sailing teams. It includes Hough Sailing Loft, Ripberger Observation Deck, Saunders Point, and Wallace Cove. Student-sailors enjoy a floating dock system with 26 slips and easy access to Boca Ciega Bay for first-class competitions and quality training time—making it one of the best sailing facilities in the country.

Swimming Pool
The outdoor pool, on the north side of campus, is open daily for students. It has a 12-foot deep end, six 25-yard swimming lanes and lounge equipment along the perimeter. The pool also hosts SCUBA training as well as many campus events and celebrations.

Fitness Center
With over 7,500 square feet of workout space, the fitness center offers free weights, machine weights, cardio machines, a group training room, kickboxing space and an aerobics/dance room with wood floors. [br] Student-taught fitness classes include yoga, weight training, spin, step, Zumba, stretching, Pilates, Ab Attack, CrossFit, Muay Thai, MMA and self-defense.

The softball field is part of the Turley Athletic Complex and home to the Eckerd College NCAA Division II Softball team.

Baseball Field
The baseball field, located on the east side of campus directly across from the Waterfront Complex, is home to the Eckerd College Baseball team, which has made 10 NCAA Division II national tournament appearances. The team fell to UC-Riverside in the 1977 championship game, 4–1. Field dimensions are 330 feet down the lines, 365 to the gaps and 400 to dead center.

Dedicated to soccer, our lighted field boasts Sprint Turf—perfect for year-round varsity and intramural games. The field is home to the Eckerd College NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Soccer teams.
